Brick Police Bust Trio For Drugs, Seize Car After Stop

Brick police arrested three people and seized their car after finding crack and pot during a Wednesday morning traffic stop, authorities said.

Street Crimes Unit members found driver Michael Trotman, 35, of Pine Beach Borough carrying less than a half-ounce crack and a small amount of marijuana during the 9 a.m. stop near Brick Boulevard and Schoener Drive, Brick police said.

Trotman was charged with various drug offenses and sent to the Ocean County Jail to await a detention hearing. He also received several traffic summonses.Passengers Janice Rivera, 32, of Lakewood and Joseph Reavis, 24, of Toms River, were charged with marijuana possession. They were released, as well.

Police seized the vehicle, a 2006 Buick LUC, and $330 for forfeiture.
